Hey man I recently purchased the very first BMW for myself and it's a x5. I've had practically everything else but it's definitely a awesome ride and I adore it

This was the car made me fall in love with BMW. Was a proud owner for 17 years. This was a perfect weekend and DYI car. I owned and sold few other bimmer and other brands within that time but she was always the garage queen. I let her go when I got my M2C. |

![]() My first BMW is the 2017 M240 I bought one year ago. I found it as a CPO with 27k and loaded with goodies including a LSD. I instantly fell in love with it, and it still makes me smile every time I get behind the wheel. |

After the Renault 5, Lancian Delta, Golf I and II GTI, I bought my 1st BMW, it was a 1986 318i with cloth seats in France. When I moved to Canada, I bought my 1989 535i, and my love for 5 series started. All used, never ever bought a new car and probably never will.
I tried other cars but always ended up going back to BMW, now I know better.

There's a lengthy, probably boring answer as to why, but the simple version is there are just too many other cars I'd like to get my hands on, and any BMW's I even have some interest in fall pretty far down the list. I've owned the e92 since 2015 and really love that car for what it is. I plan on keeping it on the road for a very long time.

I was not disappointed. Initially friends teased me about driving a shoe box. I would take them for a drive out in the country and country and educate them. The 2002 would handle sweeping curves with no fuss whatsoever at speeds that caused the uninitiated to flinch. I would fly through such a curve about 30 MPH above the posted limit. After my passenger recovered I'd comment, "Not bad for a shoebox".
