Just today i ordered a new set of Michelin PS4S in oem sizes (225/35 and 255/30 19"). Will get them fitted on monday. I have no issues with stock sizes nor do i wish for meatier tyres. If it is enough for a stage 1 360hp-ish 35i then its surely enough for a 204hp 23i, is it not? Good tyre brand and model probably makes more difference than going up in size. So dont cheap out on tires.

Will be installing mild lowering springs when I install new Bilstein struts and shocks in a few weeks. Wheels were purchased from eBay and tires from TireRack.

Hi! I recently bought a pre owned z4 e89 20i sDrive and I’ve been having a lot of trouble with the wheels and tires.
First of all, the factory fit wheels (17 inch) were removed and were replaced by after market 18 inches by a previous owner. Now the tyre sizes are 225/40 R18 for the front and 265/35 R18 for the rear. I got the tire pressure signal just a few days after I bought it and had to replace the tires, which again kept loosing air, then got the rims checked and fixed. I am not losing air now but the tyre pressure warning keeps coming on. Is this something related to the tyre pressure really? Because I pump 36psi to the front and 42psi to the rear. Should I change that? According to the tire sizes I have on now, what tyre pressure should I pump in? |
