"stage 1" N54 (135) about the same as stock N54T (1M) 135 has limp mode easily, 1M does not due to the additional cooling gear |

I chose my Cobb exactly because it can be uninstallec and sold, it's fast to return to factory flash before warranty service, and they were very helpful with pre-sales questions.

Hi everyone. My original question was in reselling an accessport, can you sell it to someone with another brand of car that Cobb tunes? When I checked the website, I noticed that they make an accessport v3 for a bunch of different cars. The hardware looks the same, but the price varies from $500 for a mitsu to over $2000 for a porsche with BMW in the middle. Are all these units brand specific? It couldn't be as easy as buying the cheapest and downloading the appropriate map could it? Also, why does it cost 5 times more to program a porsche over a mitsu? Seems curious.

B/c Porsche owners tend to make 5x more money than Mitsu owners, and are therefore more willing to pay. A part for a Nissan might cost $100, but that same exact item for a BMW is suddenly $350. If it's an ///M car, it's $400.

I have a 2014 Z4 35i and have heard that there are some problems with the Cobb AP since the ECU supposedly has 128bit encryption which is different for the 2013 model.
Can somebody shed some light on this? Will I have to wait for a 2014 version of the Cobb tune? I spoke with Cobb and they said no problem - the 2013 version will work with the 2014 Z4 ECU. |

I took a look at realoem and it looks like we are in luck! The control unit is the same as all n54, MSD81 DME .
Not sure about the other member but I'm assuming its not due related. |

I already spoke with Cobb, as long as I ordered it direct it wouldn't be an issue. But your right, everyone else ordering for a '14 should call just in case .
