Tamber and Ryan here; Have a serious build going on with Tamber's 2011 Z4 35i. 400whp is the goal. mufflers removed, secondary cats cut out. VRSF 7" intercooler for a 335i we're working on getting fabricated right now along with VRSF downpipes which we are fabricating for VRSF since the AR design ones are wayyy to expensive (do our own work). A grand for downpipes lol? Anyways want to a build log on here and add our pics there. Cobb tuned is next after we get these parts fabbed on. Need to make a post I guess on here so I can start my own thread?

Hi!
Good evening all. My name is Rich and I currently drive a 2011 3.0i Z4. I am the original owner and just turned 40M miles. Prior to my current Z4 I drove a 2007 Z4, and before that a 2000 Z3, I put a 107M miles on the Z3. I drive my Z4 year around. Rich |

If you want to mod, I recommend a 35i, or 35is.

N54 motor is a gem. With a small investment you'll be putting down some serious power. I'm full bolt on ( front mount intercooler, downpipes, and drop in air filter) with a custom tune from Wedge and the car pulls like a freight train.
For suspension, take a look at the "robbing the M3" thread and you'll see how to swap the front control arms for E9X M plus some other goodies.

Me and my Z4
Hello all, my name is Ed. Since last year I have a Z4 just like most of you. Enjoying it each day, but the most epic moment was my drive to Italy. On my way there I purposely drove through Suisse so the Stelvio-pass was unavoidable.
I have got the Mille Miglia edition, with the beautiful mat paint. On one of the pictures my bike is visible as well, it's a Triumph Street Triple. |

Hi, my name is Bobby, and I live in Montreal, Canada. I just picked up a 2011 35i last week, and I am happily enjoying the nice run of November weather that we are currently experiencing. I have been a BMW owner with no interruption since I purchased my first 5 series, a 1992 535. I have had other summer cars over the years, but never considered the Z4 until recently.
What a blast! I haven't had a chance to take some quality photos, so I can only offer up a couple of recent snaps. I have already learned much from this forum, and look forward to participating firther. Cheers! |

New to the forum as well
Hi all,
I'm Christian. I'm from The Netherlands originally but I live in Switzerland now. Got myself a wee Christmas gift this year: a 2010 23i in Tiefseeblauw with Canberra beige/black interior and dark wook trim Been enjoying the warm Christmas days here in Switzerland by cruising around and now tucked her away for winter storage in the garage. Unfortunately due to a circumstance of events my trunk got closed when I already disconnected the battery for long term storage. So 4 days into ownership I got my first problem to worry about. Anyway, I'm really excited and planning weekend trips for spring/summer already! |

Glenn Here. Just picked up this 2011 Z4 35 is on Christmas eve. Only had an opportunity to drive it a few times with the weather. So far its been great. Question - not sure if I am describing correctly but what determines the shape of the emblem just behind the BMW emblem in front of the door. Mine is short and I noticed some 2011's with a bit of a tail on it. You can see the difference in post # 422 above.

I'm Paul, from Los Angeles, CA. Just picked up a 2015 sDrive 28i in Valencia Orange with Hyper Orange interior It's a beautiful car and love the 4-cylinder motor!
This is my first ever BMW. I was actually going to get a 2016 Mazda MX-5 but it was cheaper to lease the Bimmer! Great to join the club and can't wait till the weather gets warm again. These are just some quick photos taken with my cell phone, better photos coming soon. |

I tried the new MX5 as well and, although it drives good and a new MX5 was the same price as my 2010 Z4, the Mazda was more 'toy-like' to me, despite the good materials and build. Oh, and it clearly did not help that I didn't really fit in it, being (not an unusual..) 1.86m (6.2'). That quite surprised me... Comparing your interior pic to mine, it's the first time I notice the radio has changed. Did they move the display to the speedometer console? |

No the radio display is in the LCD panel which is hidden because the engine is off. I have the navigation/tech package so everything displays on the LCD. |

Losing some weight is always nice but, quite frankly, I think it drives more than fine as a nice weather cruiser trough the Alps, along the lakes, to the beach....just awesome and the hardtop feels more secure. Ah off course. Mine is without any 'gadgets': manual, no satnav, etc. Not even cruise control though I quite miss that tbh. I didn't even check if it was equiped with it when I bought it cause I didn't think a Z4 could be equiped without....oh well. |
