question: I am guessing if some mag tested the 23i with test figures....speed consumptions, 0-60mph or 0-100kph......
I saw one 30i italian test, several 35i tests...and nothing about the 23i..... Francesco |

Z4 Video
I just found this lengthy Z4 review. It has a lot of info on the Z4 technology.
http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?...CY&feature=fvw You do have to skip a few commercials but its worth a watch even if you're already familiar with the car.

Top Gear Australia posted a quick review of the 35is in their Sept issue. They dont post electronic versions...
They liked it - called it an L4 (as in almost an M4) - and scored it 15 out of 20. This in comparison to the UK version that gave it an 9 out of 20. ONly goes to show how opinions vary.

My take from the review: If you love the twisties, your kidneys, and your wallet, then just get the 35i. If you have ADD and can only handle life a 1/4 mile at time, then the 35is. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...t_drive_review Last edited by UncleScottie; 10-07-2010 at 12:03 PM.. |

Assuming dealer mentality is still the same, then that may be harder than it sounds. I would have loved to have gotten a Z4 3.0si Coupe with the stock suspension and 17" wheels, but all dealers had were Sport Package cars. And believe me, I searched just about every dealership in New England, NY, and NJ. To get the car I wanted I would have had to ordered one with a non refundable deposit* and pay way more than what the highly discount Sport Package cars were going for at the time.
*The non-refundable deposit was supposedly because they wouldn't have been able to sell a non-Sport Package car if I backed out. As if they could sell the SP cars without huge discounts. |

Two reviews I am pretty sure have not been posted before:
http://www.automobilesdeluxe.tv/2009...ve-30i-review/ "BMW’s produced a true, honest, classic but not overtly retro, wind-in-your-hair, sweet handling toy that you can drive day in and day out. If you can see past the steep price, the Z4’s the best in its class." http://www.lemonfree.com/reviews.php...e=BMW&model=Z4 "The BMW Z4 picks up right where the last generation left off, or as a more intimate, involving 6 Series cabrio. That it is a bit bigger and more luxurious doesn't indicate any loss of soul or enjoyment, and the folding hardtop offers the best of coupe and roadster forms with few of the drawbacks of either."

The best way for you to know Mario is to test drive it for 1-2 times and you will get to feel if you like how it rides and if comfortable enough for you...
As you can see from this thread, thus is very subjective and vary from one person to another... |

I found a couple more "first drive" reviews of the 28i that I haven't seen mentioned yet. The first two are pretty good reviews...the first one also has a lot of pictures:
BMW Blog http://www.bmwblog.com/2011/09/06/fi...-z4-sdrive28i/ Kilometer Magazine http://www.kilometermagazine.com/art...MW_Z4_28i.html Road & Track http://www.roadandtrack.com/tests/drives/2012-bmw-z4 Motor Authority http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...8i-first-drive The last one is more of a mini review: Autoweek http://www.autoweek.com/article/2011...IEWS/110819904 |

Still making my way through this but a great thread.
Can anyone reference or point to a review/thread that compares the different motors? I am a 370Z driver and loved the 2.8 but feel like I should get at least the 3.5i. Something about owning a V6 and never going back... |
