I couldn't get any sounds on my phone, but seeing the G30 next to the F11 in the slide really shows how much better looking the new 5er is.

I bought the cheapest car, X1 s28i with M Sport, and it's the best driving car I've ever known.
My wife wanted it, and I became a fan. I get some amazing tech for a strippo car. So what It's not true M, the low end torque and traction is plenty for street, and I've even tracked it at COTA up to 120mph. The super car guys called me quick because it is. |

BMW continuing to cash in on what little brand equity they have left. ///M and AMG mean absolutely nothing but a short term sales tactic to give someone the feeling they are getting something they really arn't.
BMW didn't invent this approach pretty much all luxury (with rare exception) brands have diluted their brands by taking something only few could afford or buy (which built the brand) and then make it accessibly to anyone by slapping it on a dumbed down version of the real thing. Its a sad reality of someone in charge trying to generate short term sales growth. You can measure the sales number, but not easily put into figures the damage it does to the brand equity. |

There's a lot of talk about cheese (and it's making me hungry...) but I've long thought BMW do not do enough to segregate their top end models from their entry level models, especially since you can get 116d and 318d M sport trims (speed boats with canal boat engines) - it's about time something was done to signify the top of the range (M cars are different mechanically and cosmetically so can barely be called part of the range).
As someone who drives an M performance model and not an M I'd say it's far from cheese |

Meanwhile, October BMW sales are way down year-over-year.
Except for the 7-Series. http://www.bimmerfile.com/2016/11/01...-sales-numbers

All the 7 series in the US are LWB, but the naming is still M760i.

Ok so now im really confused..
is "M-performance" something between a true "M" and an "M-sport"? So "M-performance" what is it.. just a high-spec model with a tune? |
