If that is the case, then why doesn't everyone get the coating? Or does it matter where you live? I live in southern California and it doesn't get that hot here. Will this coating really help? Is it a game changer?

good question - answer: the DPs themselves will be a huge power gain and sound improvement so many people think, why spend another $150 or so for just a little more improvement when the first $1k delivered 95% of what I wanted. I think the opposite, why not spend the small extra incremental amount and receive 100% of the benefit BUT it never ceases to amaze me the % of people that disagree with me; at this point, I am sure I am the one doing things the wrong way - to each his own I say

Some people just don't see the benefit or don't think the heat matters. Since the air intake in on top of the motor trapped in the engine bay, and hot air the the enemy of power, why not do everything you can to prevent heat from staying the that area. a lot of people ceramic coat the pipes and the hot and cold side of the turbos. It may only be a small difference but every little bit helps.

I have gone with ceramic coating as less heat in the engine bay is better.
The exhaust gas flows better at higher temperatures, ceramic coating helps keep the heat in the pipes (Used in racing applications). A must for me |
