Insurance agents are somewhat independent. If they think they can, they will treat you like your switching to them because you had an accident. In this case they will quote you a high risk plan (without telling you). Especially if your a family guy with kids driving age or about to be drivers. A friend of mine had some performance cars and had his policy written not to cover the kids on those cars. They were covered on old cars with a liability policy. No Collision. I had insurance from the same insurance company, but a different agent and he refused to do the same. When I called the company to switch to my friends agent, they refused. Said I would have to get my agents permission or physically move to another county.
Btw, any insurance can undercut your current company by reducing your coverage. |

Rate comparison. Erie vs. Liberty
With Erie, I pay $1082 per year for full coverage on a 2017 Jag XE and BMW 2011 Z4 assuming only 8,500 miles per year. Last edited by javis20; 03-18-2024 at 07:18 PM.. |
