Yep, it's getting the 3.0 and 3.0tt. As always, BMW says there won't be an M - they said that about the Z3 and Z4 as well - but this time they might mean it; rumor has it the E92 M3 engine won't fit.

eBrake
I'm guessing the eBrake is the lever to the right of the iDrive (electronic).

Well this should be a screamer with the N54--how much will this bad boy weigh? 3000 pounds?

Hard to say. The M3 has a hardtop convertible and a coupe. So I wouldn't rule out a coupe. For those seeking light weight it would be the answer.

If they do, hopefully it is $8,400 less. Like the 335i coupe and 335i convertible price difference. I know, wishfull thinking. |

I'm thinking (sadly), looking at the side elevations of the new Z4, that they may have problems fitting the S65 into it without one mother of a bonnet bulge. Still, 0-100 in 5 seconds with the N54 (and DCT) is not shabby.
Seriously considering putting a (monetary*) deposit on one of these now I've seen it camouflage off. * thought I should differentiate the type of deposit given some of the other posts here |

I wouldn't say it is Aston Martin level beauty.
It definitely looks better than the hideous new 7-series. . Last edited by M3WC; 12-14-2008 at 01:25 AM.. |
