Just picked up my new Sdrive 35i Deep Sea Blue Z4!
I picked up my Z4 last night and have been having a ball with it ever since. I tried to post some images but can't figure out how to do it in this forum yet as I am a new member.

VERY hard to let it stay clean in fact, but it's a beautiful sight to behold when it's still new =) High maintainence perhaps!

Thanks
Thanks. This is a big change from my old ride (Toyota Tundra) that you can see in the background in one of the pictures. I have been dreaming of getting a convertible since driving my dad's Saab 900 turbo convertible back in the late 1980's. Once I saw the new Z4 I instantly knew I had found my dream car.

Someone posted a shot of the sticker price in this thread which has the same setup at the one at my local dealer:
http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=260525 My local dealer would not give me much of a break on the price. When I first saw it and drove it I had sticker shock as I did not know the new Z4 was going for so much more than last year's model. I came home and told my wife we may want to wait and look at the new convertibles coming out later this summer from Infiniti and Lexus. After looking at pictures of the new Infiniti and the new Lexus online I still liked the Z4 better and my wife told me to go ahead and get the Z4 despite the higher than expected price. |

Don't get me wrong as I'm a die hard bimmer fan who isn't fond of MERCS in general, but I've driven both (just a test drive on the z4) and I wouldn't be so quick to say this is a better sports car. The MERCs suspension feels much tighter (consistant with the car and driver reviews) and the torque was far superior. As far as the non AMG SLKs go, I would def. prefer the z4 anyday.
