Wow.
Never been a Z fan (past the respectful nod), but this is really something. More agressive styling and just great lines with the top up and down. Profiles front and back are just great. Well done. Z fans must be going wild. |

It's very beautiful both inside and out. The hood is so long--wonder where the engine sits relative to the front wheels? It seems to be placed at the middle of the car.

I am completely taken by this car, especially in that dark blue.
Don't get too excited, that's 400NM of torque, not lb/ft. It is the exact same N54 as in all the other 35i cars. |

second day and i still don't like it much. it looks too big, less nimble than the current gen z4. no? anyone?
the rear and front definitely carry some cues from the 6er/CS coupe, which would be ok on a larger car but not on the Z. the hardtop also eliminates the possibility of a coupe in the future. i would be very happy to be wrong about this assumption, however. i love the current Z4 coupe, inside and out minus the outdated tech. i'm rather disappointed by the 2nd generation.

Thanks for that tidbit on the 0-60. That TQ number is crazy. Those #s in a 3200 car your looking at a 12 sec 1/4 minle screamer. Im sure you know ab out the 335 engine mods more than I, what is the safe upper level you could tune this motor to pul in rwhp and TQ numbers? Any way you look at it this motor is a barn burner. If they do an M version, you'll most likly see a modified tt six. That would be nice. I think the 335 motor moded would walk all over the stock M3 motor. But you just cant beat the sound of the V8
