Angry CDA6 / 00CDA6 Error Code. Cranks but no start.

Error Code: 00CDA6 [Message (status, electric fuel pump, 0x335) faulty, receiver DME, transmitter EKP

I've had the car off the road for the last 6 months while I've been travelling. A family member started it every few weeks to keep things lubricated. Last time they ran it, a few weeks ago, the engine cut out while idling.

I came back, and it turned out the battery was flat as a pancake, so I've just been to buy a new battery (and the suggested model from all battery sites was a stop-start battery, despite the car being a non stop-start N54 - this shouldn't matter but worth mentioning).

I couldn't get the boot open even when connecting my new (fully charged) battery to my positive terminal, so had to get the fusebox out and jump the 60amp fuse to open the trunk.

New battery is now in, and the car will crank but no start. In addition to this, I still have a roof error, the boot wont open and the windows won't budge. I thought a new battery would sort these problems out. I know these are several different issues but I'm wondering if they're all tied to one electrical problem?

Regarding the error code at least, I'm inclined to believe a fuel pump EKP issue is indeed involved as the engine cut out mid-idling.

I have a new EKP on the way and protools at the ready to code it in. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to troubleshoot in the meantime.

You’ll need to clear all the error codes and then see what remains after that …EKP failure unusual on E89s…

Letting the battery go flat on E89s is a really bad idea…

Battery is AGM due to regenerative braking not stop start..

Tried that. The error code is current and persists.

Also just found out that the fuse is blown. Will try a fresh fuse and see again tomorrow.

I’d be surprised if it’s UK petrol that this is an issue..
