Are the LCI Headlights interchangeable with the originals?
I need a new headlight for my 2011 e89, but they are back ordered. I’m wondering whether the 2014 LCI headlights can be installed in place of the originals. II yes, I’ll ask the dealership to search for a pair of the newer headlights, maybe they aren’t on back order.
Please let me know if you have done the swap, if it worked, and did you need to reprogram anything. Thanks. |

FWIW it’s not shown as a retrofit kit…so either it’s more difficult or it’s simply plug n play…
I believe a UK guy has done it but not successfully coded it to work in all situations..

It would be nice if it were plug n play, but doesn’t sound that way based on the UK guy. Thanks
