35is secondary cat delete
Hey,
Thinking of getting a secondary cat delete within the next 2 weeks. I've read some ppl complaining about raspiness on the 335i, anyone that has done this with everything being stock have any comments on how you liked it? The volume only increases slightly right? Any idea how it sounds on the 35is mufflers? I mostly see reviews of it on the 35i mufflers only. Thanks! |

I personally feel primary cat delete is the way to go. Here's why
1. way better exhaust sound (especially on 35i and superb on 35is) 2. few extra horsepower +20hp, even more if you're tuned 3. very minimal smell (only when cold started) Me driving 35is around https://soundcloud.com/taranfx/bmw-z...-exhaust-noise

Secondary cat delete is not raspy with stock mufflers, and also adds a bit of horsepower.
I now run secondary cat delete and race catted downpipes with gc lites. It is significantly louder, and the step up in sound volume was larger than that of secondary cat delete compared to stock. |

thanks for the replies guys.
I actually ended up getting the secondary cat delete like a week after I posted this. For a couple of reasons I'm going to keep the stock downpipes so this was the option I chose. very happy with it overall, sound volume is just right for me. After having two full-bolt on cars prior to this, my ears are very happy with just the secondary cat delete and "golf-tee" mod. |

I had a BRZ when they first came out with that damn flat-4 NA...it wasn't a joke when mods would give you 3-5 horsepower...10hp/tq from a single mod was like a godsent Those were painful days But for sure without a doubt, removing primary cat is exponentially better value than getting a secondary cat delete if power is the goal. |

1. Your question had nothing to do with this thread. Post a new thread.
2. There must be thousands of posts on MHD across 6 different forums. Do you have a question? If this is your first time using a forum then ignore my abruptness and post a new thread with a specific question that does not simply require a yes or no answer. |

Probably 35is and stage 1 dont make sense since 35is already has stage 1 power. I skipped and flashed stage 2 on my bone stock 35is.

I wouldn't agree with this. You get the over-boorst or whatever it is called when you depress the pedal past the kick-down, but otherwise, The power is not quite the same as a MHD Stage 1.
