windows out of whack
is it just me or are the problems piling up on all z4s? first the AC climate control doesn't work every 2-3 months, now when i roll all windows up, the passenger side window immediately goes right back down.....

Is the window going all the way up in one continuous motion as usual? Or is it only going up incrementally and you have to do it multiple times to get it to the top?

Might be a a calibration issue for the anti trap function.
Try holding the window up button and don't release it for 30 sec after it reaches the top. .... If it will stay up that is. Edit... First with the window down hold the down button for 30 sec then raise and hold the up button for 30 sec. |

Are you using the "all up" window switch to roll all of the windows up at the same time? Wondering if you are seeing the dancing windows phonmenon which I believe there is a TSB for...

It happens occasionally on either side of my car... only when I use the all up button. It seems to me that sometimes the front and rear windows don't synch up perfectly in their travel up and then automatically go back down to avoid damage.

Yup, sounds like the dancing windows TSB. Take a look at this thread. I had the dealer instal the relay and it fixed it for me.

Had this happen once in awhile, but never consistently. I think it only happened on really hot days. Same for you?

it more or less started this month. and just in november, there have been days over 90, most in the 80s, couple of barely-there rainy days, and now it's in the 60s. can't say it's weather related.
