Wow : removing the air bag is NOT easy
So, I'm sitting here in car probing deeply into the 2 holes (5&7 o'clock) to release the springs that hold the air bag in place. R side (passenger side) went relatively easy but WOW the L side is not. I wonder if I have to angle the screwdriver outwards for this side or something different? All's I know is that 45" if probing has not released the other side... frustrating
Anyone have words of guidance? I hate to push the R side back into place & drive to way-over-priced dealer with my head hung in shame (plus my dealer is always booked out 2 wks : by time they'd get to me we'll have snow on the ground) Any help is appreciated! |

In the original post the part number for the new style shifters is said to be 32306795939 (confirmed).
When I look, that appears to be the bog standard shifters as fitted to my 35is 2010 which are the normal PUSH/PULL versions. Be careful if you go ahead & order anything based on this post - looks like a mistake. I'm pretty certain that the new style PULL/PULL shifters are a completely different part number. Like an idiot, I trusted the original poster (& fell for the 'confirmed') so I ordered the part from my BMW dealer.... expecting the same levers I already have fitted to turn up in a few days time. Looks like the actual correct part number for the PULL/PULL shifters is 32306799619. Brilliant. Matt Last edited by MatSmith749; 10-22-2013 at 04:17 PM.. |

Any used paddle shifters for sale?
Anyone selling any of these paddle shifters (used)?
I let my 3 year old play inside my Z4 and looks like he broke the right paddle (it is just flapping in the wind now LOL). I would take the old style one OR the new style.. I just can't bring myself to spend almost $400 on the new OEM replacement part from BMW.. Thanks! |

Set of rocker switches 32 30 6 795 939 Is not correct. That is the part number for the paddles already on the e89's. So what is the actual parts number for those paddles?
