What is your current Wheel/Tyre/Offset Set up? (Pics)

Hello everyone,

I wanted to canvas the forum to get a sense of the various different Wheel, Offset and Tyre set ups people currently have and to get a view on what i'm intending to achieve.

I currently have OEM 326M's and am planning to swap these for 19" Avante Garde M359's with 9J ET35 Fronts and 10J ET38 Rears. Planning to stretch the rears into a 255/30. The wheel is very popular on M3's but i've yet to see one on an E89 Z4.

Does anybody have a set up similar to the above? Post a pic or comment your current set up. I'm aiming to get the following stance below but with a deeper concave rear once I've changed the suspension. I really want to get the wheels flush and would love to know whether I would need spacers based on the above set up. The wheels also come in an ET15 & 25 combo but I think that's going to stick out too much.

Wheels being purchased:

Hello,

I'm riding the M437 in 9x19 ET29 with 235/35-19 and 10x19 ET40 with 265/30-19 Goodyear F1. This set up should be close to your proposal. Springs are Eibach Pro Kit.

Both cars look excellent guys. Suprised there's no rubbing with such high offsets on some of the set ups.

I have my wheels on with the coilovers to be fitted on Saturday. Will keep you posted - it looks mean as hell

I had the AG M359 when I still had the car. Also went with the 9F and 10R. I ran 245/275 tires though and even at 275 it was a little bit stretched to my liking in the rear as I like beefier tires. A few pics here I posted from a few years ago:

Looks great any write up or additional pics? Its rare to see 20s on a Z4 and rarer still to see good ones. How hard were the camber plates/drawbacks to install?

Hi Fazerfahrer,

You have the best looking stance on the 35is. How do you like the Eibach springs. Do you have any rubbing or bottoming out issues. Also does it affect your Adaptive suspension negatively, do you still feel the difference between the normal/sport and sport+ modes.

Thanks,
Jake.

Hi Jake,

thanks for the complement.

Over all I'm happy with the set up of Eibach springs, you still feel the difference in normal and sport+ (the only modus I'm using ).
I had the same mods already on my former 30i but there it was even better than in the 35is. It seems that the adaptive suspension in the 35is change while pushing pedal to the metal extremly to soft to get max. grip. This phanomen is not also welcome. Therefor it might be, that I switch to KW V3 for next season.

Rubbing with the 437M depends hardly on the used tire. I use currently the Goodyear who is very wide as a 265/30-19". Due to that fact I had to make adjustments at the plastic inside fender.

bottoming out issues As I'm not native english speaking I'm not sure if I understand it correctly, do you mean if the suspension is going on block? If that is your question, i can so no, had no problems like this. If there is an other meaning, you need to explain it a little bit more in detail.

Thanks for that detailed info Thorsten. Regarding 'boottming out', you interpreted correctly. I am heavily considering the Eibach springs, but don't want to get springs now and if I don't like it, then get the KWV3. Guess I will just wait till I save up for the KWV3. What spacers are you running in the front/back.

Thanks.
Jake.
