Cobb first install- stuck roof: coincidence?
Hi guys,
This is really odd and I hope just a bizarre coincidence. Thought I would check with the community. I just installed Cobb V3 for first time in 2011 35i. The top was down. Install went flawlessly as described. Lots of noises from various systems being activated and such. Started engine and attempted to raise roof. The roof got stuck midway. Attempted to lower. It eventually stopped with rear deck raised about 4" above fully retracted. Checked battery V, on level ground, all ok. Uninstall Cobb, still stuck. It's at the dealer under warranty. QUESTION: does this scenario ring a bell with anyone? Thanks for any insight. Jeff |

I don't have a Cobb tune but I thought you had to put the ECU "to sleep" before you any any brand tune. I think the top up, windows up hood open and doors locked for 20 min or so before adding the tune?
This is just a guess but others will chime in. Longboard |

Hi Longboard
You probably remember seeing this in a JB discussion and it's correct for them. Probably related to messing with the wiring on a live processor. For Cobb, it's the opposite. Key in, car in accessory mod ( all systems go except engine). So much drain they recommend a charger to ensure you don't undervolt in the middle of the operation Thanks for encouraging ME to before I try again after the dealer repair,. JEFF
