Exhaust for 2012 20i/28i ?
What options do I have for a 2012 Z4 with the N20 engine.
20i and 28i are the same with 2 small pipes on one side. I know there is the Eisenmann quad and I would like to have quad exhaust tips but 2 on each side are great aswell. I would really like to make it a bit more noise without losing the 'pufs' coming from the exhaust when releasing the throttle. Any tips? Also, I have the M-bumpers so how would they be installed? New diffuser or can you get it cut decently? At about 2000 USD for the 3D design diffuser I think that's pretty steep for what it is. |

IMHO, 3D design's diffuser are really expensive. And if you accidently crack it while reversing onto something, you're doomedddd!
I'm currently driving a 28i. Couldn't find any companies that makes the exhaust for the z4 with the N20 engines so i decided to go custom for the meantime. Since it was a bolt right after that cats, decided to fabricate a bolt on straight pipe to a custom muffler box. No loss in low end as i've already tuned it up.. A little bit droney on highway drives but you can't really hear it with the top down. A lot of backfiring when downshifting. Not really noticable in the video though hahahaa Did quads hmm: Sound clip of it:

And you let them cut out the space for the 2 extra exhaust tips?
Does it look like it's supposed to be factory cut? The idea of chopping of parts of my bumper is really brrr Scared I won't like the way it's done |

I'm currently talking to a specialized company that is going to build me a custom inox exhaust system.
I'm taking the car to them soon so they can have a look at the bottom and how the current exhaust has been fitted. |

Will there be a loss in power? Are you going to dyno it before n after?
