Lease transfer feeler..
My 2011 Z4iS has 9 months left on it's lease but with only 12K on the clock it still has 24,000 miles available under contract. The monthly payment is $630.50 (total) and the payoff is $40,224. Black Sapphire, Nav, Premium audio, Comfort access etc. It goes without saying that the car itself is impeccable as I'm obsessive about it's care as I'm sure most here are. I was really looking forward to my last Spring and Summer with this beauty but I'm supposed to be saving for the new M (yes, sadly it's time for a 4 door) and my better half points out that it would be much easier to do so with only 1 car payment. So I'm just kicking this idea around, not sure if people would be interested in a short term like that.. At such low mileage and flawless condition it would make one hell of a trade in deal or purchase at the end. I'd be looking simply for $1k and transfer fees. ***** Price Lowered to 1K plus transfer fees.****** Includes: $630 refundable security deposit. E89 Luggage set imported from the motherland. http://www.roadster-concept.de/ Z4 indoor car cover. http://www.shopbmwusa.com/ProductDet...ProductId=2506 An extra 326M wheel. Windscreen. http://www.roadstersolutions.com/page69.html The black performance grills and the originals. 35% tint Short antenna and original White angel eyes and originals Painted side markers Europlate After bulb swap: Last edited by Wraith.; 01-17-2013 at 12:39 PM.. |

Wraith Why don't you just make the switch at BMW, I mean go into the M lease and return the Z4 35is? Or is that not possible in the US? I guess you would loose all you put in plus the $2000- and lease trnsfer cost.
When I switched back to the M from the Z4 35i, I just traded the Z in and paid the difference on the new car. This way I got the tax break (paid tax only on the cash difference). I also avoided all the tire kicking. Anyway, good luck with the transfer. PS. I know what it feels like, when I was younger and our daughter was born I gave up our Firebird for a four door ford

Thanks Rolf I'm actually looking to Buy the F80 M3 which won't be out until 2014. Otherwise yes, i'd be doing exactly that. However, there is that slight problem of the sedan being out of production. $2000 lease transfer fee??!
Thanks Shifter |

Wraith, when you say "payoff is $40,224.00" is that as of now or after the last lease payment?
Just wondering ... excuse my ignorance on this point, I am not familiar with lease contracts.

No worries, It's the amount to buy the car at the end of the contract. Which, coincidentally, is 10K under what Kelley Blue Book estimates it's worth. Someone could not only get to enjoy this beauty through spring and summer but if they bought it could stand to make a fair chunk of change.
Thanks Rolf |

Price lowered to 1K + transfer fee. With the refunded $630 security deposit from BMWFS it's only $370 out of pocket. This is my last effort as spring is not far off and she'll be back on the road again.

If your offer is still available upon my return from Afghanistan in April, I'll be talking with you. Father lives in Bellevue so if possible, may ask him to come check out the car if that's ok.

Thanks guys, she is a beauty and I'm a bit surprised myself.
SWO that would be great however I think BMWFS doesn't allow a transfer within the 6 month mark of the end of contract. |
