Anyone blackout the msport rear bumper?
I was thinking of getting a 3d diffuser..but for you to switch to that..2K is one thing, but you need a whole new exhaust cuz its designed for a quad pipe exit.
So i was thinking of wrapping the bottom black part and see how it looks ..though the rounded bottom wouldnt look that cool. Anyone have ideas/suggestions. |

Here are some pics of my 370Z I did that may help. Before and after shots.
Plasti-dip is another option that is quote popular too, besides paint or vinyl covering. They all look great though. I am undecided on doing my Z4 though personally. |

I think wrapping is the way to go just cause its easier and is reversable, plus I doubt you can tell the difference anyways.

That looks really good. Actually is that the non msport bumper?
I added a 3d replica diffuser on mine. Seriously..just from the pics..can't tell the diff..up close..can see the gloss carbon, but from your pictures and most pple distance..probably looks similar. Nice! and thanks! |

yah the rep is about 900 US. A decent savings over the norm. Probably cant mention it here because not sure if i would get in trouble for it but its good quality. Fitment slight problem, but overall it looks good and would rate it at 95% +. good enough to order the splitter as well.

How did you do that?
@ Cupholders, how did you do that? Is that a CF wrap? Paint? Did you use a template? Looks great and exactly what I want to do with mine!

I have been thinking of doing the exact same.
Your wrap project just decided its for me. I love the look and again it is inexpensive and reversible. I already have a very large roll of good quality CF so I am good to go. If interested, I wrapped my Front, gray plastic grill inserts and again its give a totally upgraded and different look. Pics to follow.

Here are pictures of the Z with the OEM Silver Lower Front plastic grill inserts that have been wrapped in a high quality, gloss black CF.
Next I am having the black plastic peice on both sides that is separating the outside and middle grill painted the Space Gray Metallic, the color of the car, to break up the black across the whole bottom grill section and be a similar look of the M Bumper with the full painted surface. As well, these pic's are after I painted the upper grill inserts gloss black and left the chrome ring to match the hood roundel with the outer edge being a chrome ring. I also CF wrapped, in the same material, the Blue part of the Roundels ( Hood, Sides and trunk) to the Gloss black.

The F lower grills are easy to remove but take patience. Under the front of the car there is the splash pan with appx 6-8 bolts- see the above pics of the splash pan. Remove this pan which allows access, very tight access, to put your hand up and inside the access area behind the grill. 1st step- remove the center rail. There are 4 clips to unsnap. Look inside with a flash light and determine if the clips unsnap up or down so as to not push in the wrong direction to unsnap them. Once the unsnap direction is determined, push on the clip to unsnap it. Once all 4 clips are unsnapped, you can then pull the rail out front the front of the grill. Then do the same for outer grill. See the picture above. There are 3 clips on the top of the grill, 2 on the sides and 2-3 across the bottom. These can be stubborn to unsnap, but once you get 1-2 unsnapped you can begin to push the grill out slightly and the rest of the clips follow easier. I started at the top and moved in order around to each clip to unsnap them. again look inside and determine if the clips unsnap by pushing up or down to release it. Once you know the un snap direction you can push on each snap it by feel.
Install these just snap in easily from the outside. Outer grill 1st then the center rail. Nice mod project.
