Some Photos From my Cross Country Road Trip - 2012 Space Grey 35i M-Sport
Hello Everyone.
Back in May I took delivery of my new '12 Space Grey / Walnut Leather Z4 35i with M-Sport package, and drove it across the U.S. from NJ to my new home in Monterey, CA. The trip was great - I hit the Chicago, the Badlands and Mt Rushmore in South Dakota, Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and Devil's Tower in Wyoming, Sturgis, the Bonneville Salt Flats, and a few other random awesome places. Seeing as how I'm a new member to this forum, attached are some photos taken during the trip. The car is still stock - now that I live only 5 minutes away from Laguna Seca, we'll see how long it stays that way. Thanks! |

Wow! That sure is a nice color combo! I love that interior color and seeing the manual shifter is a bonus!
BTW, lots of car events going on this week through the weekend in your neck of the woods: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=729413 Thanks for sharing those nice pics and welcome to Northern California!

Welcome vasmir! Those are stunning pictures! What camera did you use?
I recommend an ESS tune for your 35i. Was it born with the new potenza 3rd gen rft btw? Also I am curious to know what is that thing sitting next to the mirror? Did you install it yourself? I am looking to try and power my dash board camera in a similar way... |

I shoot using a Canon 7D. For the motion picture in the Badlands, it was taken at ISO100, 12mm, f/16, speed 1/80. My father was the copilot, so a lot of the in-motion photos were taken with him at the wheel. We drove through the Badlands late in the day, then during sunset - I shot almost everything in Aperture Priority or Manual. I'll definitely take a look at the ESS tune - and not sure about the Potenzas - I'll check that out later today. And that's my Valentine 1 hard wired into my overhead map light. I know there's tons of info about doing hardwire installs online (which is where I found which wires to splice into), but I can post more info on that if you'd like. Looking forward to this weekend in Monterey. |

Welcome!
My wife and I did San Francisco to New York in our last car, an E90 328 (which also got time at Laguna Seca, Sears Point and Thunderhill) and your pics brought back some great memories. Thanks for sharing. Great pics! |
