Side Bolsters
I have the sport package seats. Does anyone notice if you have to keep adjusting your side bolster settings every time you get in the car. I like to set mine so that it cups me in and bit more snug. I notice I have to keep setting this up after about 30 minutes or every time I get in the car. Is this normal? I thought the setting should stay.
On my M3 it stays. I don't have to keep setting it up. Depending on others' experience with this, I may set-up an appointment with the dealership to get it fixed.

flp,
Sounds like an air leak. Ours stays as we set it for weeks.

Is what I suspected. I would imagine this is just a small part to replace and not a whole seat replacement. I just called the stealership and have an appointment next Saturday. What kills is that they will look at it and say it is normal, then argue, then finally order the part, then bring the car back. Ugh!

I also tested passenger seat doing the same thing. I don't have premium package (only sport package) where you can save seat settings. Perhaps that is the reason why mine doesn't stay?

Perhaps that is it. I have both sport and premium. Mine stays. Although they don't automatically release/return like the 5/X5 multi-contour. That is cool to set them tight in, turn off the car, opern the door, and then close and restart. They release and then squeeze back in on you. I should do that to passengers and freak them out.

I don't have the premium package either and both driver and passenger bolsters hold their last set positions. Something is AFU.

I have sport package, not sure what premium package is so don't know if I have it, but mine doesn't remember the setting either.

Lumbar support and side bolster settings are not "memorized".

I wish the Z was like our e60/M5 with dynamic bolsters that adjust/tighten when you experience side g-forces and then release. Kinda kinky......lol.

Correct they are not memorized as the seat position or mirror settings. But they should hold their last set position.

I have a 35is with premium package and the bolsters only stay up for 5 or 10 min and go down. obviously no memory either. Defective?

I never really notice the setting of mine, the seats are just fine for me. I might tighten up the bolsters when I'm pushing the car a bit more, but then usually feel uncomfortable later and let them down again, presumably same as most.. |

Yes, I try to let them down and won't go anymore because already flat. They will inflate back up again tho so I am certain they do go down quickly on their own.
