Farewell Z4 and thanks for the memories
Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later, I just didn't expect it to be THIS soon. I traded my 2010 Z4 with 10,500 miles for a 2012 Porsche Cayenne S. The Z4 was a blast to drive, especially with the top down. But with the birth of my third child and lower back pain that was getting exacerbated by the stiff ride of the Z4, I had to make a switch. It was fun while it lasted. |

Good luck with your Cayenne! That was a quick turn around. I remember when you got your Z4, it was shortly after I got mine. I wish you well, so long...

Talk about a change! But you gotta do what you gotta do, and at least you got the least boring SUV on the market!
I heard it's quite a ride; perhaps when my wife is tired of her Lexus RX...

To quote Mr. Clarkson.. "Honestly, I have seen more attractive gangrenous wounds than this. It has the sex appeal of a camel with gingivitis."

The Z4 was my daily driver except during the winter months. Everyone says I had to "get this convertible out of my system" before coming to reality. My wife was not happy about turning the car over so quickly. Not because she loved the car (She never drove it), but because she was against me getting it from the get go.....there were a lot of "I told you so" conversations. I owe her a $23k gift to make up for the change. The Cayenne S is truly a wonderful vehicle to drive. I dare say I have never had such a pleasant experience driving. This is my first Porsche and I am very happy with it. I won't have the wind blowing through my hair like I did with the Z4 but the driving experience with the Cayenne makes up for that loss. I got it with a panoramic roof to give it that "open" feeling. I keep my Porsche key on the Z4 keychain I got from England...I know I sound like I am full of regret, but I'm not. The Z4 will make a return appearance in a few years....
