Z4 Cup Holder
I ordered my new Z4 in white Alpine / Red Coral interior..
The sales at BMWHK was not able to get a Cup holder to set it on the demo car and see how it affects the driver or next seat people when in... Does anyone has the cup holder? Any inconvenience ?? Last edited by Land_Shark; 11-02-2010 at 08:23 AM.. |

No, it is not a inconvenience at all, if it is you can pop it out and store it in the clove compartment (it is removable).
You can see a picture here if you like

I think the main thing is to buy the car from the country which drives on the same side as your country (if you reasonably/practically can, of course). For example, when I was living in HK and bought a Japanese car, there were little things that made it better to sit on the right side: gas door on the left, shifting to sports mode via gear lever that is pull towards the driver (more intuitive) instead of away; I'm sure the radio/climate controls were better geared towards the driver on the right as well. Now that I'm back in Canada, I'm glad that I have a German car due to these same (albeit slight) advantages.

Yes I livein Hong Kong, RHD, and ordered from BMWHKG... My question was the same as z4@Phuket... Is the cupholder adjusted for the RHD, which means it comes in a different part# than the LHD cars??

I don't think we can put the cup holder on the right side of the RHD car, since the center console is different. Attachment may not possible, we need a cup holder on the left side
