New E89 With N52 Maintenance
I’m a new owner of a 2011 E89 with the N52 engine. I’m approaching 40k miles so figure I must be up for a maintenance routine. I went online finding suggested maintenance schedule from a third party source. It said that at 40k I need oil change, cabin filter change and new sparkplugs. I can see the oil change and cabin filter but it seems low miles for new sparkplugs.
So my question is if I do need new plugs at 40k or if it can wait until 50k? Second, is the replacement of sparkplugs on an N52 a simple plug change or does it demand new coils as well? Any further comments welcome. TIA |

I have N52 2.5 engine. I do 5k oil changes, plugs might reach 50, i replaced at 40k, pretty much tips burnt off. Rear shocks were duff at 45k. 2 year brake fluid, done 5 year anti freeze. Replaced coils at 80k but old were fine, just precaution.
Gearbox oil at 50k manual box. |

Thanks. Based on the Carfax, the maintenance has been kept up so I plan on keeping it that way. I'll ask that the plugs be replaced after all. AFAIK, the suspension is all right. I'll get the gearbox oil too at 50k. I too have the manual.
