Big win for the Canes today thanks to a career day for Mark Fletcher. On to Ohio State at the Cotton Bowl on New Years Eve.

They better be able to pass next game…… the kid had a tremendous 57 yard run at end of game

Decent win by Miami. They came to play and it took OSU until the start of the 3rd quarter to find their groove. OSU should have kept it up tempo..Miami didn't have an answer for that at all.

I do feel having a bye is not good. There is just too much time in between each game to get any sort of rhythm. I am not going to make any excuses for OSU but Ryan Day needs to find an OC like Chip Kelly was last year for next year. I do strongly believe if Day called the plays last year, the Bucks wouldn't have won the title. Plus Hartline's shit was a huge distraction too for the team. Don't get me started on the kicker. The D played good, not great, but good. Only gave up a real 10 points. Last touchdown didn't mean anything.

Miami was better prepared yesterday but they weren't the best team on the field. They wanted it more. I see similarities with the passion of Miami to what I saw when OSU made their dominating run last year. OSU didn't have that last night.

Wonder how the other 3 bye teams play today..0-4 again this year for bye teams or will they win a few..we shall see.

Oh well..on to next year and plus..golf season starts here soon. So I will quickly forget.

I will let Miami enjoy this win. They haven't done shit since they won it back in 2001 and lost it in 2002 when they played the Buckeyes!

I'm not getting ahead of myself but the Georgia vs Miami matchup would be interesting.

Tell me you're a Buckeye fan without telling me you're a Buckeye fan...Yeah we've been in a dry spell for a few years. Idk if you're old enough to remember that 02' game, or if youve watched it, but that win was handed to Ohio St. Had instant replay been a thing then, the U would have won that one too.

All in all I think it was a great game to watch!

Miami won in the trenches great pass rush. The game might have been different without the pick 6. For all u Notre Dame fans that said Miami didn’t belong you can try not to speak

You sound a bit like a Notre Dame fan claiming they would win if the game against us were played now rather than the day it was actually played and they lost. OSU has a win vs. a good, not great, Texas team (who lost to FL). But otherwise haven’t beaten anyone with much of a pulse. We have beaten ND, TAMU and now OSU. I think we can safely say we were the better team yesterday and still are today.

I remember that game. I was a frosh in college and watched it on vacation with my family. Was one hell of a game and OSU made plays when they needed to!

I am a Buckeye fan. I was just telling it like how I saw it last night.

It's honestly all good. Best of luck for the rest of the playoffs. I really do think the bye seeding hurts a team. Well, minus IU. Bama is a joke and shouldn't even be in there.

Nope. I didn't say that. Any one can win at any given time. It wasn't the Buckeye's night. I wish they didn't get a bye to be honest and had the extra game to work out their nonsense.

Enjoy the win and the postseason. Might be a while before Miami is back there.

That was a hell of a game! The game is just not the same anymore..I guess we have to take what we're given...I've been waiting a long time for that one!

I think the major story of the night was the refs letting the boys play. What was it like 2 flags all game? Wow. I can't remember the last Canes game where they were that disciplined.

Looking like that's gonna be the ticket by the way this score is looking...

Is it just me or do you guys feel like Lane Kiffin did these kids a huge disservice in leaving them at this point in the season? I understand the time constraints finding new staff asap, but I feel coaching staff should be obligated to play to the last whistle, just like you have taught your team to do..What example does this set for the players? Ive just always thought - You finish what you start, especially when others are counting on you to do so..Idk, I'm curious what are you guys thoughts?

I could count on two hands the amount of choke holds the Miami Oline had on the OSU Dline that night. Couldn't believe some of those weren't called. I know they can get missed but when a large portion of the holds are right in front of the ref and not being called then hmmmmm...not good.

Did you guys see the huge hold the Ole Miss olineman had against the UGA player for the touchdown? Kirby was going nuts!

OSU was holding Bain and Mesidor almost every play and both teams got away with DPI. OSU also injured a Miami D-lineman with a chop block that wasn't called.

There was a blatant facemask right in front of the officials in the Ole Miss-UGA game last night that wasn't called. They have made it pretty clear they aren't calling many penalties in the playoffs. If they are consistent in doing so, fine. But they ought to be calling penalties that can result in hurt players and it really screws up games if they change their mind and start calling games late inconsistently compared to earlier in the game or favoring one team over the other with non-calls.

Well I ate my previous words in the 4th quarter lastnight! Definitely agree w the above. Deciding to let a PI go bc both players were going at it is one thing, but facemasks, and chop blocks should definitely not be in the same basket. Those could be career ending.

Lucky win! Talk about the Ole Miss WR getting smashed on the hail mary in the end zone with no PI called!

Hoping for an Oregon vs Miami National Championship!

PI on a Hail Mary is almost never called as all the players have their heads turned trying to play the ball, making them all equal in terms of "right to catch".

With that being said, no call was the right call. There were plenty of other DPI calls that could have been called and I thought the refs were partial to Ole Miss in the second half. I am not a fan of either team. I am a Georgia Tech Alum, but I was happy that Kiffin would not get the full potential of his bonus. I am also hoping to see Oregon play Miami given the Miami coaches ties to Oregon and the fact we have a relative that played for Oregon.
