SOUND
When the development is finished, it would be really helpful if you could post sound files on you-tube.
The current OEM 35i exhaust sounds fabulous in the upper rev range and would take a lot of beating - 4 exhaust tips are the biz though |

I also want the 2x90 to maintain the stock appearance but with increased performance and sound - when can we order these and do you think they will be in this month or next?

I will try to make some.
But I will get the "legal" version, so not the race. For the German mambers here, I'll get the TÜV Variante. I think the E89 is anyway too luxury for a loud exhaust. This would fit better to a M or so. Today I talked to the R&D guy of Eisenmann, my car won't be done until Monday So.. again a weekend without Z4.. most probably one of the last sunny and warm weekends in Germany But let's see.. maybe there is still a chance for good weather and a z tour through the Austrian Alps cheers tom |

I also like the 2x90mm tips. We will start taking orders at the end of this month. I have already started a waiting list. Please let me know if you would like to add your info to it. Quote:

yes - we would like the 2x90 race (if this flows the most); my wife asked again yesterday when this would be available for her 35i as she likes the growl; how do I get you my info?

Hopefully Tom will have Sport performance sound clips. We will be getting the 4x76mm Race level in the US in one week. Sound clips will be up soon.

Well the Pics and Vids are pretty poor, but I'll promise to make better ones:
Here we go: And Some pics: http://picasaweb.google.de/zippelfal...ann2x90mmS35i# I like the new Exhaust very much. As the appointment was very time critical for me (I need the Z tomorrow) Eisenmann will get my car back by end of September in order to finish their work. They want to fine tune the exhaust, the right pipe is a bit lower than the left, and it looks that the exhaust is a bit too lound for the German TÜV. They will try to make it a bit quiter Tanke care Tom |

That does sound very aggressive for a TUV Sport level Here are the two photos that Eisenmann sent us of the prototype 2x90mm system that is installed on your Z4 35i.

thanks bigtom! nice sounding exhaust.
One suggestion, how about leaving your video camera just behind the car facing the exhaust, and revving the car in netural? Might get a clearer indication of the sound. Nate, do you have a pricing for the exhaust? |
