Guesstimates on MY2009 Z4 pricing
Hard to say when US pricing will be released on the Z4 roadster if the car does indeed become available in November/December timeframe.
So given all the variables (e.g., not clear whether there'll be both ragtop and hardtop convertible options, but I'm guessing just the latter), I'll make the following guesses on invoice: Base model: $36500 Premium pkg: $ 3000 Sport pkg: $ 1500 DCT: $ 2100 I'll also guess that pricing is announced in September. Thoughts? |

Who will get the new Z4 first - USA or Europe (UK)? I thought I heard the UK was to have it early 2009...?
I really want to know when we can expect to see it without any sort of camouflage or body armour

Even if the MY09's are much improved, I still do not think they will match a Boxster S (for handling, balance, and sportiness) or the SLK (for cachet and luxury). If BMW prices them equivalently, they'll languish on the lots. Heck, I was all set to buy a Z4 3.0 in 2005, but after comparing it to an S2000, the latter proved to be the more capable vehicle (and I went with it instead). |

hmmm i wish it would start off at 36500, but since bmw is moving it upscale (growing proportions, hardtop) and making room for a smaller z2, i think it will likely start off at around 38500. the new z will be faster, bigger, and better than ever, so that's not gonna come cheap =/
so yeah my guesstimate is 38500 for base trim 230hp soft top, + 4-5k for hardtop option. |

The only good news is that manufacturing is being moved to Germany, meaning they should be available for European Delivery. Last edited by Balthazar_B; 08-13-2008 at 08:34 PM.. |

Need the production space in Spartanburg for X6 & new X3. Put the production where the market is and ameliorate some of the currency woes. Put the low production 2-seater somewhere else.
But was super neat to watch X5s and Z4s running one behind the other on the assembly floor at Spartanburg. 365 vehicles per shift, two shifts per day when I was there a year ago. |
