Now that you bring that up, if you took the 4 and put it in a retro Z3 that might make for a interesting combination.

Maybe I missed something in this thread. For 2012, will the Z4 still have the 6-cylinder engine or will it only be a 4-cylinder? I passed on the 2011 35is and was waiting for the 2012 35is model to come out before buying. Am I too late for the 6-cylinder in-line?

Yes,
You can still get the 6 but I think both of the options are turboś. The N54B30 will still be an option. You should actually read the first post: NEW BASE MSRP's 28i.....$48,650 35i.....$55,150 35is....$64,200

Not sure the N55 will be seen in the Z4 in 2012.

bmwmick...your link just confirmed what I said...the N55 is in the 35i and the N54 is in the 35is. My question to everyone was will this remain the same for the 2012 models (your link doesn't go into that)?
Also, bmwblog posted a ton of pictures of the new Z428i...some of which include the new color combo and engine shots from a few different angles. http://www.bmwblog.com/2011/08/19/ul...-z4-sdrive28i/ Last edited by BimmaDrew; 08-19-2011 at 12:41 PM.. Reason: Adding Info |

The N55 has never been part of the Z4 (at least in the USA) Read it again, http://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/att...2&d=1263075440

Oops, sorry. I definitely missed it...probably because I was excited to see the reviews up on the new 28i and I wanted to get to those. It definitely includes the 35i in the exclusion list tho...

Maybe I am misunderstanding the question and am totally confused now, but my understanding is that there is no engine change for the 35i and 35is.

Sorry to respond to an old thread, but is it confirmed that the 2012 n20 comes with power seats? It's still listed as option in the BMW USA configurator.
Thanks |
