Updated with pics. Never installed on my part. There are some weld marks and I spoke to the seller and he said he had it on and off a few times when he was trying to find a sound that worked for him (2nd cat delete with muffler, without muffler, cat on with muffler, etc.)

Hi there. Still don't have my z4 (looking for one), but soon hopefully.
If I get a 35i (hard to get a 35is), is this a straight swap? Would this be all that's needed to make the exhaust sound the same? Thanks!

Yes, this is an easy swap. All you really need to do is to cut the exhaust and install this one using butt clamps. It will work perfectly. I also have a Z4 35i for sale if you are interested. |

Yup, these are a direct swap for the Z4 35i. You just remove your old muffler and either have these welded on, or as suggested, use some band clamps for installation. This is all that is needed to make the exhaust of the 35i sound exactly like the 35is (everything else aside from muffler is the same between the two models). Shoot me a PM if you get a car and are interested |

I need a shop to do this though, I wonder if any member in the LA area could recommend one. Would hate to buy this and not be able to get it installed... will PM you when I get some quote about labor for this, if it makes sense.

Sorry Bleen - It was just sold a few hours ago. I did it on a first come first serve basis to be fair, so whoever I got payment from first.
Hope you are able to find another set soon on the forums or if not, there are a lot of good aftermarket options (Remus, Milltek are both more affordable or if you go all out, Eisenmann is top notch). GL |
