Why is my email notification for other site names?

I would get notification on threads I'm interested in (within Off Topic) and in this email it would have different site which I understand is all linked together.
Issue is if I go to the site, I can't post on the thread due to the login I have is part of a different forum even though it's pretty much all the same.
For example I get "https://www.1addicts.com/forums/..." as a link, but I'm part of the "https://x3.xbimmers.com".

It is very annoying since I have to go around about way to get to a thread I'm interested in being engaged with.

E-mail notification stopped for me last week for some reason. Rechecked everything, resaved e-mail address, have instant notification enabled, etc,etc, checked e-mail junk folder (empty)...no idea how to get notifications again.

Looks like the admins did something.. I can now post even though I might be listed in their M3 forum.

Off-topic and certain other threads will come from other forums that are owned by the group that owns these BMW forums which are linked at the top of the website, such as e90post, 1addicts, x3what, etc.. Depends which site they were originally posted from, but the off topic and not vehicle specific related forums are all linked together. Your 1 login should work on any of the sites from what I've seen. Or atleast I've been able to log into like the 8series site with my e90post login.

You guys sure you have the setting on to automatically notify you? I receive at least 15 notifications a day from this site.
