How about a really cool mod: Remove the roof entirely including wiring, pump, operating mechanism, roof panels, rear window, etc. and replace it with a carbon fiber deck. I'll bet you could dump 200 lbs, lower the center of gravity, triple the top-down storage and save $thousands on future repairs.
