A DRS tool is used to test the gap each race. Basically looks like a stick with a donut on the end

Huh intriguing tool, I always thought it would be a more precise tool/method for checking measurements like laser scanning etc. But I guess a feel guage style tool would be acceptable too, and I guess it has to be plastic to avoid scuffing the rear wing.
