The 6 speed auto isn’t terribly amazing, but it sure beats a CVT. We regret selling our CX5 so much that we are going to get rid of our current CRV in favor of another CX5. For the CX50, they partnered with Toyota and it’s more geared towards “off road.” It has selectable drive mods (like snow, sport, mud, etc) whereas the regular CX5 is normal and sport only. I’m a HUGE fan of the 2023 refresh on the CX5 (just a facelift and trim name changes), but the Turbo trim is awesome.
I guess what attracts me about the cx3/30 is smaller exterior dimensions. My goal is to get something really small that can still fit a couple carseats and not take up much space in the garage. The cx5 is at the absolute limit of how big I'd be ok going, so I guess I'll have to see how the two compare when I'm shopping.
