I was greatly surprised with the interior too. My most recent Ford experience was in a 2020 Explorer and the interior was awful for a $50k+ SUV. Tons of cheap plastics, trims that looked obviously fake, and a lot of the materials and trims didn't line up well leaving huge gaps, and even places to snag your fingers. This was quite the opposite. Felt a lot more solid and well built, with no glaring issues and tons of soft touch materials on the base model. I expect the upper trims which get nicer materials such as real leathers I even better.
