They go behind the seat backs. Between the interior and the truck space. One behind the driver and the other behind the passenger. I have a 335i now and ours are under the front seats. I tried a search on the forum, but didn't find much. I could have sworn I did a lot of posting when I had my Z4. I installed the Jehnert door system and replaced the mid-bass speakers. Sorry I can't be more specific.
