I think Ford was trying to achieve a painted metal finish look to the dash panel in ode to the original 1966 Bronco, and I think they succeeded. It looks and feels better in real life than the pics. Safety regs probably prevent using metal for the dash panel as I bet the air bag sits behind it. The marine-grade vinyl seats are very nice and comfortable.
But it's a modern truck in 2021 that has a real manual transmission with a real foot-operated clutch. Oh and the doors and top are easily removable.
Imagine that! The cost of the machine is in the drivetrain and suspension.

I've yet to see one in person so I will take your word for it. I really like the Bronco and think it's going to be a success for Ford. If I lived out in the country this would probably be at the top of my list.
