Interesting, just went and looked and mine is 51.4% as well. That makes me even less enthusiastic about the pour, anywhere above 100 proof is where the flavor should start really showing from my experience. I wonder what I was remembering is proofed different between Europe and the US now...
I got my 500ml for $50 in France and feel like I overpaid, but like I said, I generally prefer the bigger flavors.
