I was referring to clubs. Still have Titleist driver and 2.5 wood

Yep. Titleist still makes good stuff. The Pro V1 is still as good as or better than any ball out there as well.

I used Callaway balls for years and I believe they have the best aerodynamics (dimples) so wind will not influence them as much. I used Srixon Z Star for a while and like the thin cover they use and are priced a touch lower than other tour-caliber balls. Last year I hit Callaway Chrome Soft all season and love their super-soft feel, especially with the putter. This year I bought 8 dozen custom Pro V1 so I can run the same ball all season long. After most of the season behind me I think I'm going to stay with Pro V1s. While wind will push them around more than a Hex-dimpled Callaway; V1s are just so consistent around the greens! Nothing I've found works as well as V1s when trying to put a ball close to a pin... Especially when playing less-than-full wedge shots.

My guess is the difference you may be seeing in how wind affects the ball flight is due to spin rate. I'm a plus handicap and I for sure wouldn't be able to tell a difference in aerodynamics.

Well there is absolutely a difference in aerodynamics between dimple design. I guess the (very fair) discussion would only be about if you or I could actually distinguish the difference.
