It wouldn’t surprise me if Hamilton is requiring the right to veto drivers in his contract. He’s already seen first hand what happens when a driver is told they would be supported for the championship and the team ends up supporting the new driver.
In my opinion, the situation at Red Bull the last few years is like Williams in the early 2000s - they would have been a lot more successful with better drivers.
