Update on my top adjustment where it had been gouging the decklid panel. BMW's comments:
"Adusted rear shell. Maxed on adjustment without completing major adjust. Achieved .5MM clearance. Adjusted rear decklid tilt on both sides to match angle of rear shell. Adjusted trunk lid gaps to rear decklid. Now at approx. 2MM clearance between rear shell corners and decklid finish panel. Rear decklid finish panel is on order."

This top adjustment took about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to complete.

I go back July 21 for the decklid replacement. According to BMW this is a 3 hour job. Wow, I thought it might just snap in but apparently not.

Fix appears to be succesful so far, no squeaks yet.
