Really ? All Season tires in California ? I never lived in CA though ... but IMHO A/S tires is a good choice if you face freezing temp. and/or some snow/ice. Other than that, summer tires are quite OK to handle 95% of your driving conditions including heavy rain

One note about the Micheling PSS: I find them noisier than my old Bridgestone 760 Sport. On the other hand, the PSS seem less harsh on bumps than the B/S 760 Sport.
