Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it isnt the hose to the coolant tank. A couple of possible identifying charachteristics of the mystery hose is it seems to be wrapped in fabric tape, and on the other end not seen in the picture it is hose clamped on to a section of metal tubing, presumably coming out of the water pump.
