The dozen or so 2011 (most likely) lease returns your dealer has on his lot with asking prices in the high $30's and low $40's should not pose much competition. These cars are priced about 20-25% higher than yours, which is substantial in the used car market. Generally, a different set of buyers with more money to spend will shop those cars.

Your competition is other convertibles in the $30 - $35k price range.

The Z4 is a niche car. Back in 2009 your car probably sat for a while on the dealers lot before you purchase it. The same is true now. It just takes waiting for the right buyer who will pay the right price, which is in the low $30's somewhere.

There is a lot of crap out there in the high $20's and we know the 2009 Z435i is much better than those.
