Yeah, the current base model C-class weighs about 200 lbs. more than, for instance, a 328i automatic (the C-class is auto only). And, the MB 1.8T makes about 45 HP and 30 lb-ft LESS than the BMW 2.0T does. Meaning, the turbo 4-cylinder 3-series should handily outperform the base model C-class, all while achieving similar or better fuel economy.
