Seems to have done so on my car, so much so i don't have to use the sport+ so often.

In the UK the Rover MGTF eng. mang. could be reset doing this, seeing that BMW and Rovers paths passed at some point.

Or is this just an industry standard.

What a week!

It seems you need to hold down the gas pedal for 5 secs with the ignition on but engine off, and then wait two minutes without touching anything. Another post said that if you hold down the pedal for 10 secs the water pump starts, and that this is a step used after a coolant flush...

Anyway that was just taken from the E9x forum, and who knows what works on the E89. Maybe it was never a virgin...
So which is it? Pump the gas pedal 5 times, or hold it down for 5 seconds?
