I believe Dinan is a great company and I trust their techs more so than bmw mechanics. However, if you have to deal with a stubborn dealer about a warranty problem even if dinan has evidence that is not related to their tune, you'll have to play liason.

I don't think dinan will pay or should pay for something that is not their fault.

If the dealer wants to play the blame game, than its up to consumer to get involved. I got to much going on in my life, which allowed me to buy a z4 in the first place, to babysit a process that should be clean. When these issues do occur from time to time the customer ends up paying from what I evidenced. And its usually has nothing to do with the tune.
