I was curios why they went with 40 on the photo's as well. I assumed it was the number they used for anyone testing in their cars, so a neutral choice for official photos.
I dont know if it's Kubica's favorite number though. He originally wanted 4 for last season and no driver was assigned 40 to my recollection.
