A bit OT but...One of the reasons why I bought the 35is was because of the sports exhaust which sounds excellent mated to the DCT. An aftermarket exhaust would have cost me around $2500+ customs duties of 15% + installation...then there is the steering reprogram etc..
And to be honest I think BMW got the sound just right on the 'is'.
So in my country, this factored in with the extra cost of the DCT trans + M package + limited production of 25/year meant a good deal for the 'is'.
